The International Choir Festival of Jersey
Musical Details ADJUDICATORS The competitions will judged by a jury of up to three internationally known adjudicators. Verbal adjudications will be given at the end of each voice competition and written adjudications will be sent by post to each choir after the Festival. COMPETITION RULES Please read the rules very carefully as they contain all the details necessary as to the choice of a choirs programme and the criteria for adjudication. Each choir must be familiar with the rules. PIANOS If you require a piano for accompaniment at a Parish Concert or in a rehearsal room please make sure that you request the same on the Repertoire form which must be submitted by the end of August before each Festival. There are grand pianos at St. James, Victoria College Great Hall and Gloucester Hall, Fort Regent. MUSIC STANDS Music stands will be provided at all venues and rehearsal rooms. RETURN OF YOUR MUSIC COPIES You will be able to collect all copies of music which you have supplied at the end of the ‘Choir of Choirs Competition’ on Saturday evening in the Gloucester Hall from the Adjudicators librarian. REHEARSALS You will have your own rehearsal room at Victoria College for at least an hour and a quarter before you compete and for at least half an hour at Fort Regent before you compete. If you require a rehearsal room at your hotel or extra rehearsals please request these on the Repertoire form which must be submitted by the end of August before each Festival. ENTRY FORMS Must be submitted by 30th June in each festival year. You can obtain
an Entry Form from this site but you will need to send a CD/tape of your
choir, a photograph and a short history of your choir to:- REPERTOIRE FORMS Must be submitted by 31st August in each year. You can obtain a Repertoire Form from this site but you will need to send four copies of your music to N. P. Cabot at the address given above. |
